Acclaimed Tamil film producer C. V.  Kumar is credited with being one among the few in the previous decade to usher in a new wave in cinema. A number of the ventures he has produced under his Thirukumaran Entertainment banner have attained cult status over the years and continue to be celebrated to this date. Incidentally, C. V. Kumar launched several notable filmmakers under his banner among whom include Pa. Ranjith with his Attakathi, Karthik Subbaraj with his Pizza and Iraivi, Nalan Kumarasamy with Soodhu Kavvum and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum, P. Ramesh with Thegidi, Ramkumar with his Mundaasupatti and R. Ravikumar with his Indru Netru Naalai to name a notable few. 

Apart from producing films, C. V. Kumar also forayed into direction and made two films Maayavan (2017) and Gangs of Madras (2018). Both films went on to be appreciated by fans and a number of critics, with the producer-filmmaker now returning with his third directorial titled Kottravai The Legacy, which is a fantasy thriller drama. Produced by C. V. Kumar under his Thirukumaran Entertainment in association with Mayil Films, an intriguing teaser for Kottravai The Legacy has now been released and includes plenty of interesting aspects based on the visuals shown. The basic outline for the story of Kottravai The Legacy hinted in the film's teaser about a treasure protected for 2,000 years now under hunt only gives us many reasons to expect it to be an interesting watch. 

Kottravai The Legacy's teaser has in quick time gone on to cross more than one million views on YouTube, with the response being highly positive. The film stars Rajesh Kanagasabai, Chandhana Raj, Subhiksha, Gaurav Narayanan, Anupama Kumar, Pawan, Vela Ramamoorthi, Shobana Pranesh among others, with music by Ghibran. C. V. Kumar has roped in a credible technical team that includes names like cinematographer Prakash Rudra, editor Ignatious Aswin, art director SK, followed by Tamilmagan for the dialogue, costume designer Lekha Mohan and Ramkumar for the stunt sequences.
