Leading actress Esha Deol, known among Tamil cinema fans for starring in ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam's 2004 political thriller film, Aaytha Ezhuthu, has partially revealed a large tattoo she had gotten on her waist, which she kept hidden for 11 years. Esha, who reprised her role from Aaytha Ezhuthu for the film's Hindi version titled Yuva, informed fans on social media that she had gotten the tattoo back in 2009, while tagging the photographer, designer and the studio in her Instagram post. "Yes, you guessed right! ‘It’s real’ - inked 2009," Esha captioned the post, with actor Sanjay Kapoor commenting, "Lovely." Likewise, fans too have been praising the actress for her tattoo with various comments, including dropping heart, heart-eyes and fire emojis on the post. Check it out below:
Earlier in July, Esha Deol had posted a similar picture from the same photoshoot where she can be seen revealing her tattoo. However, she had not divulged that she got inked secretly, with the post more focused on her comeback opposite Ajay Devgn in the upcoming web series titled Rudra - The Edge of Darkness. Posting the picture, she wrote, "Happy to share with you all that I am returning in front of the arc lights opposite Ajay @ajaydevgn who has been a fabulous co-star to me in many films, in the web series - "Rudra - The Edge of Darkness", ♥️🧿" It is to be noted that Esha is a tattoo enthusiast and already has two tattoos on the back of her shoulder.
Over the years, Esha, the the elder daughter of Bollywood actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, has made a name for herself in Hindi films in Bollywood after her acting debut in 2002 in the film, Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe. She subsequently went on to star in Dhoom, Dus and No Entry to name a notable few. Taking a break from films after tying the knot with Bharat Takhtani in 2012, she focused on raising their two daughters, Radhya and Miraya. Esha then announced her return to acting in 2019 with the short film, Cakewalk, and was directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee. Earlier this year, she made her debut as a producer with the short film, Ek Duaa, in which she played a woman struggling for equal rights for her daughter, while premiering on Voot Select.
