The young and promising Atharvaa Murali will be teaming up with director Sarkunam for a new film which was officially launched, this morning (July 16) in Chennai. This untitled film will be bankrolled by the leading film production house, Lyca Productions. Veteran actor Rajkiran would be seen in a crucial character in this film, alongside Radikaa Sarathkumar, and others. The makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the film's female lead. Director Sarkunam is known for making movies like Vaagai Sooda Vaa, Kalavani, and this new film marks his second association with Atharvaa after Chandi Veeran.

Radikaa took to her official social media pages to share her excitement about being a part of this film. Sharing a picture with Atharvaa from the launch event, Radikaa wrote, "I personally love this guy @atharvaamurali he is so promising, we are back in @lyca_productions #dirsarkunam #rajkiran in this interesting script, look forward for the filming to start". Sarkunam's last directorial venture was Kalavani 2 which opened to mixed to negative reviews from the critics. Sarkunam has already completed a film with Vemal and the movie is said to be ready for release. Further details regarding this Atharvaa - Sarkunam film are awaited.

Atharvaa's next release in Tamil cinema will be Kuruthi Aattam, directed by Sri Ganesh of 8 Thottakkal fame. Produced by Big Print Pictures, the film features Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead and Radharavi, Radikaa Sarathkumar in supporting roles. Kuruthi Aattam will be an intense action drama that has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Atharvaa is also awaiting the release of Thalli Pogathey which is the Tamil remake of the Telugu romantic drama, Ninnu Kori. Atharvaa, Anupama Parameswaran, and Amitash Pradhan play the lead roles in this film, directed by R Kannan of Jayam Kondan and Ivan Thanthiran fame.
