One film that has been at the top of the trends on social media and among fans, the 'Thalapathy' Vijay-starrer Beast rolled into production in March after being officially announced in December last year. The next big production venture from Sun Pictures, the upcoming film touted to be a high-octane mass action entertainer is being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila fame, who incidentally is also awaiting the release of his second directorial, Doctor, which has Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. That said, leading South Indian actress Pooja Hegde, who was announced to be playing the female lead opposite Vijay in Beast, has now completed her first schedule portions in Chennai and was spotted at the Mumbai Airport to join the sets of another film. It has also been confirmed that Pooja, who became a nationwide sensation after starring opposite Allu Arjun in the Telugu blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, will return to Chennai to join the next schedule of Beast in the days ahead.

Beast will mark Pooja Hegde's return to Tamil cinema after almost a decade when she made her acting debut in 2012 in the Mysskin-directorial Mugamoodi, which had Jiiva in the lead role. Pooja, who has been a mighty popular name in Telugu, tasted massive success with Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, and is currently also attached to Prabhas' highly-anticipated period romantic film Radhe Shyam, including a major role in Chiranjeevi's mammoth Acharya, which also includes Ram Charan making a pivotal appearance and Akhil Akkineni's Most Eligible Bachelor. Having played the role of the female lead in Bollywood opposite Hrithik Roshan in Mohenjo Daro, including Housefull 4 alongside Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, Pooja will next be seen in Cirkus with Ranveer Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez, while also playing the heroine in Salman Khan's tentatively titled Bhaijaan

Coming back to Beast, Pooja had shot for a song with Vijay in a popular studio in Chennai and it will be interesting to watch her match up the superstar on the dance floor. Vijay, who has been on a roll over the years having delivered back-to-back blockbusters like Mersal, Sarkar, Bigil and Master this Pongal, will once again be looking to hit the bullseye with Beast, which will be aiming for an early theatrical release in 2022.
