Tamil actress Amala Paul and husband Jagat Desai are set to become parents and have now shared a glimpse from their baby shower ceremony on Friday, April 5. The popular star, who announced her pregnancy back in January, has been flaunting her baby bump on social media over the past few weeks and has now posted pictures from the intimate event held earlier today in Surat, Gujarat. In the pictures, we see both Amala Paul and Jagat Desai in traditional attire all smiles while taking part in the rituals and looking forward to the next big phase in their lives. 

Posting the pictures from their baby shower celebrations, Amala Paul and Jagat Desai shared their excitement at soon becoming parents. They wrote in the caption: "Embraced by tradition and love 💖💖💖 #shrimant #godhbharaiceremony #babyshower #culturalcelebration #love #magic #momtobe #dadtobe #gujarat" (sic) While the mother-to-be looked elegant in a red cotton saree, which she complimented with jewellery, Desai looked dashing in a white kurta. Amala, who tied the knot in November 2023, shared an adorable picture earlier this year announcing her pregnancy, while writing in the caption, "Now I know that 1+1 is 3 with you!" (sic)

On the work front, Amala Paul was recently seen in the Malayalam film, Aadujeevitham (internationally ttiled as The Goat Life), starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. The survival drama film written and directed by Blessy is an adaptation of the 2008 best-selling Malayalam novel Aadujeevitham by Benyamin and features music composed by Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman. Amala, who has garnered a huge fan following among Tamil cinema audiences over the years, has in her lineup filmmaker Aijaz Khan's Malayalam film Dvija, which sees her cast alongside Neeraj Madhav and Sruthy Jayan. She will also be seen in yet another upcoming Malayalam film titled Level Cross alongside Asif Ali and Sharafudheen being directed by Jeethu Joseph's former associate Arfaz Ayub
