Leading Malayalam superstar Fahadh Faasil is currently attached to a number of promising projects among which include the 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan and 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Vikram under Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction in Tamil and 'Stylish Star' Allu Arjun's highly-anticipated action thriller, Pushpa, announced to coming out in two parts. Being directed by Sukumar, the first installment titled Pushpa: The Rise has been announced for a grand Christmas release by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media, with the makers on Saturday surprising fans by finally unveiling the first look of Fahadh in the upcoming pan-Indian film, which has been shot in Telugu.

Fahadh Faasil is sporting a clean bold look in Pushpa as a police officer named Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat and his appearance is as menacing as it gets. The film marks the National Award-winning Malayalam actor's Telugu cinema debut and it looks like he will be playing a North Indian police officer, who is posted in the Seshachalam Hills of the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, as the story is based on the red sanders smuggling. Expectations for Pushpa have been massive right from the get go and Fahadh's look as the villain in the film will no doubt bolster the hype and buzz as we near the release towards the end of the year.

The talk surrounding Pushpa is huge considering it is Allu Arjun's next after the blockbuster success of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, which came out as a grand Sankranthi treat last year. Recently, the makers released the film's first single 'Daakko Daakko Meka' (Telugu) also out in Tamil as 'Odu Odu Raja' and has since turned out to be a chart-buster. The film boasts of an incredible team apart from Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and director Sukumar, as South Indian sensation Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead, with Devi Sri Prasad composing the songs and the background score.
