Actor Vishal is the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam, as the South Indian Artistes Association (SIAA) is commonly known! He has now pitched in with his contributions for the Nadigar Sangam members, to help during these testing times caused by the outbreak of the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic. A press release states that Vishal has donated 1 month's requirement of groceries to 1500 members of the Nadigar Sangam, from Chennai. We also hear that plans are underway to make similar arrangements for the Nadigar Sangam members from out of Chennai too. Vishal's Fan Club head Hari has made all the required arrangements for this donation and it was given away by Sriman and Thalapathy Dinesh, earlier today.

Apart from this, Vishal has also contributed towards the monthly groceries for 300 transgenders. He has also donated a 1000 face masks and 1000 pairs of disposable gloves for the sanitation workers, who are going about their daily duties, despite the quarantine and lockdown situation. Recently, Vishal had a falling out with his Thupparivalan director Mysskin and with the director stepping out of Thupparivalan 2, Vishal himself has taken over the directorial duties. Shooting is expected to resume, once the lockdown period ends. The nation-wide lockdown has brought all cinema related activities like shooting and movie releases to a standstill.
