Actor Vijay’s upcoming film, Thalapathy 64, being directed by Maanagaram and Kaithi fame Lokesh Kanagaraj, announced to come out as a summer 2020 release is progressing at a steady pace ever since production kicked off in early October. The film is being billed to be an action flick and includes a massive star cast and includes ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi, whose casting alongside Vijay has left everyone highly excited. That said, an important aspect about Thalapathy 64 is its huge supporting cast with popular actor Ramesh Thilak now confirming on Twitter about his inclusion in the project.

This will be the first time Ramesh Thilak is starring in a Vijay film having worked with Vijay Sethupathi earlier in films namely Soodhu Kavvum, Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum, Aandavan Kattalai, Puriyadha Pudhir, Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren to name a few. He has also gone on to work with 'Superstar' Rajinikanth in Kabali and Kaala, while also bagging notable roles in his acting debut, Mankatha, alongside 'Thala' Ajith and in Vedalam and Viswasam.

Thalapathy 64 has Anirudh Ravichander scoring the music and is a reunion for him with Vijay after the 2014 blockbuster, Kaththi. With production at present ongoing in Shimoga district in Karnataka, the film’s huge star cast has left many quite curious. Being produced by Vijay’s close relative, Xavier Britto, under the XB Film Creators banner, Thalapathy 64 also has Kaithi villain Arjun Das, Malavika Mohanan playing the female lead followed by Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, 96 actress Gouri G. Kishan, popular VJ Ramya Subramanian among others being cast in major supporting roles.
