One of the most-awaited films gearing up for a massive release, Bigil, starring ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay under Atlee’s direction is scheduled to hit screens later this month as a Diwali treat. Produced under the AGS Entertainment banner with music by Oscar winner A. R. Rahman, fans have been keeping a close watch on every update related to the upcoming sports drama with all sights now set on the film’s teaser/trailer. That said, Bigil’s Creative Producer, Archana Kalpathi, has now issued a breaking statement regarding the film’s teaser/trailer saying it will be released next week and a formal announcement on its date will be made on October 7 on the occasion of Ayudha Puja.

Bigil is carrying massive expectations after it was revealed that Vijay will be seen in dual roles as father and son with the film’s plot revolving around the sport of football amidst a North Chennai backdrop. Furthermore, A. R. Rahman’s songs have turned out to be a major success; especially the ‘Singappenney’ and ‘Verithanam’ tracks. Bigil is a multi-starrer and includes Nayanthara playing the female lead, Kathir, Vivek, Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, Indhuja, Daniel Balaji, Anandaraj, Vivek, Yogi Babu, Varsha Bollamma, Amritha Iyer, Soundararaja, Gayathri Reddy, Devadarshini, ‘Thaadi’ Balaji, Dheena among others in important supporting roles.
