Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has been impressing us all with her varied choice of roles and scripts including delivering a power-packed performance as an antagonist in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Sarkar and Vishal's Sandakozhi 2. Last seen in Tamil cinema in Neeya 2, Varalaxmi's first release of 2020 will be Velvet Nagaram directed by newcomer Manojkumar Natarajan. An action thriller, Velvet Nagaram produced by Arun Karthik under the Makers Studio banner has now been officially announced for a theatrical release on March 6.

The film's trailer released not long back created plenty of expectations and showed Varalaxmi in action mode while performing several daring stunts as well. Being released under the D Pictures banner, Velvet Nagaram includes in its star cast several notable names among whom are Ramesh Thilak, Arjai, Kasthuri Shankar with music composed by Achu Rajamani followed by Bhagath Kumar handling the cinematography, Raymond Derrick Crasta taking care of the editing, Kumar Gangappan serving as the art director, and lyrics written by Kaber Vasuki.
