Earlier this morning (July 14), legendary Tamil comedian and actor Vadivelu met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and handed over a cheque of Rs 5 Lakhs for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Corona Relief Fund. The picture from their meeting is now doing rounds on social media and the fans were also delighted to see their favourite comedian after a long time. After the meeting, Vadivelu interacted with the press and media and answered various interesting questions. To the delight of the fans, Vadivelu assured that he will be acting in films very soon. Talking about it he said, "Yes, the fans can definitely see me in movies very soon. Talks and discussions are happening. Let good things happen".

Vadivelu was all praise for Stalin's actions as a Chief Minister. "The Chief Minister's actions in the last one month have been very impressive. In a short period of time, he and his team managed to control the Covid 19 cases in the State and it is a huge feat. They created an awareness among the public to get vaccinated and our CM has already become one among the people. This is going to be the golden period for the people of Tamil Nadu", said Vadivelu. During the interaction, Vadivelu also confirmed that he has taken two doses of vaccine for protecting himself from Covid-19 and asked the people also to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Vadivelu was last seen in Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal which released in 2017. The film was directed by Atlee and had music composed by A.R.Rahman. Vadivelu played an important role in the film and the fans felt happy seeing him on the big screen after a hiatus. Vadivelu was signed on board to play an important part in Kamal Haasan's Thalaivan Irukkindraan, but, the film is yet to take off due to reasons unknown. Let us keep our fingers crossed and wait for his comeback in the Tamil film industry.
