When news of the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus began spreading, it was not being taken seriously. Most people thought it to be just another common disease like the flu. However, it was only when top celebrities like Hollywood stars, world politicians and sportspersons began testing positive for the virus, did people actually begin to take this issue seriously! One of the very first celebrities to test positive for the Corona Virus were Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson. They were on holiday in Australia and had been tested positive there and immediately placed under quarantine. Tom Hanks was also regularly updating his health status and quarantine happenings on his social media handles. Recently, it was reported that both Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson had recovered completely and returned to the USA!

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson returned to Los Angeles towards the end of March, after recovering from the symptoms they had been diagnosed with, on March 11th! Now, the Hollywood couple have come forward and expressed their willingness to donate their blood and plasma for research purposes to fight the COVID-19 Corona Virus! Many countries have been looking at using Convalescent Plasma Therapy to identify antibodies to fight the Corona Virus and research is happening on this front. In a recent podcast to a media house, the couple spoke and Tom Hanks mentioned, "A lot of the questions (are) what now? What do we do now? Is there something we can do? And, in fact, we just found out that we do carry the antibodies," he said. "We have not only been approached, we have said, 'Do you want our blood? Can we give plasma?'
