GALATTA BREAKING: Thotti Jaya director's next film hero revealed!

Director V. Z. Durai’s filmmaking career kicked off on a bang in the early 2000s with the ‘Thala’ Ajith and Jyothika starrer, Mugavaree. Since then, the hit director has gone on to make, Kadhal Sadugudu, tarring Vikram in the lead role and followed it up with the gangster action film, Thotti Jaya in 2005. V. Z. Durai has also made notable films namely Nepali with Barath, 6 with Shaam, the Samuthirakani starrer, Yemaali, and now awaits the release of his upcoming venture, Iruttu, which has director Sundar. C playing the lead role. That said, V. Z. Durai is all set to begin his next project with sources close to us revealing that he has roped in acclaimed director Ameer for the main role. As of now, not much is known about the yet-to-be announced project with details on the rest, production and the crew expected to be made known officially in the days ahead.

Director Ameer made his debut as an actor in 2009 in the action drama, Yogi, while delivering a thunderous performance as a North Madras smuggler in the smash hit Vetrimaaran directorial, Vada Chennai, alongside Dhanush last year. It will be interesting to witness Ameer once again in action and under V. Z. Durai's direction considering his upcoming Iruttu is a horror film and has him exploring new genres.
