'Thalapathy' Vijay is celebrating his 47th birthday today, with the superstar receiving wishes from fans, including leading celebrities in the Tamil film fraternity and around the country. Vijay fans have been in a jubilant mood over the past week, especially since yesterday as Sun Pictures announced the title for his upcoming film to be Beast, while also releasing two special posters. With the response to the Beast first look and second look posters turning out to be nothing short of phenomenal, the film's director Nelson Dilipkumar had joined Master director Lokesh Kanagaraj, composer 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander, actresses Malavika Mohanan and Keerthy Suresh for a Twitter space session hosted by fan favorite Dhivyadharshini aka. DD on the eve of Vijay's birthday.

During the Twitter space chat session yesterday, actress Malavika Mohanan, who played the female lead in the blockbuster Master released earlier this year, went on to share an unknown fact about Vijay saying that he is a fan of Bollywood star Tiger Shroff. She stated that Vijay had screamed 'Thalaivaa' during Tiger Shroff's intro scene in Baaghi 3 when they watched the Hindi film in Mumbai. Malavika further said, "The first scene I had shot for in Master was the jail sequence and I had a lengthy dialogue where he is seen listening to me. During the shooting of the scene, Vijay made me feel at ease and queried me about my native. He is a fun person to be around and I was surprised as I used to think that he was a private and reserved person."

Upon being asked her choice for the perfect birthday gift for Vijay, Malavika stated, "I actually asked him this same question. He said that he is not fond of receiving any gifts. But, I also came to know that New York is one of his favorite destinations in the world beyond Chennai and Tamil Nadu. I would like to take him there sometime as he has not been out anywhere during these past two years due to the pandemic."
