Thalapathy 64 heroine reveals Vijay's big request - check it out!

Popular actress Malavika Mohanan became a youth sensation in Tamil Nadu after starring in a vital supporting role in ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth's blockbuster, Petta, earlier this year. Now, Malavika is part of Vijay’s upcoming film, Thalapathy 64, under Maanagaram and Kaithi director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Although not much is known about the exciting in-development project, the film is being billed to be a dark and gritty action thriller. With the first schedule for Thalapathy 64 wrapped already, Malavika had taken to her Twitter page to convey her wishes to Vijay on the release of his latest film, Bigil, which came out in theatres as a Diwali treat last week. In her tweet, she had addressed the superstar by his name and by tagging his Twitter handle, which saw a random individual comment in an advisory manner saying she ought to call the actor with respect with either a ‘Sir’ or as ‘Thalapathy’. Shortly thereafter, Malavika had clarified saying Vijay had himself requested her not to use the word 'Sir' while addressing him and added that she had nothing else but lots of respect for the actor. Having made her debut in Malayalam cinema in 2013, the up-and-coming Malavika Mohanan made headlines when she was cast in acclaimed Iranian director Majid Majidi’s 2017 film, Beyond the Clouds, and went on to deliver a power-packed performance, which fetched her glowing reviews from critics and fans alike. As for Thalapathy 64, the film has been announced for a summer 2020 release and also includes ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Malayalam sensation Antony Varghese with music being composed by Anirudh Ravichander under Vijay’s close relative, Xavier Britto’s XB Film Creators banner.
