National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut will be seen next in Thalaivi, the highly-anticipated ambitious biopic on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. Directed by blockbuster Tamil director A. L. Vijay, the upcoming film is a pan-Indian film and has been made as a Tamil-Hindi bilingual and dubbed in several languages, with the venture also starring Arvind Swami playing legendary actor and late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MG Ramachandran, popularly known as MGR. With a new release date for Thalaivi currently being awaited, Kangana took to social media on Tuesday to post a photo of her physical transformation from Thalaivi to her next big Hindi venture titled Dhaakad

Taking to Instagram, Kangana posted a picture of herself in a bob cut and black outfit alongside a photo from Thalaivi in which she plays the late Tamil Nadu politician J. Jayalalithaa. A few months back, the Queen actress had stated that she had put on around 20kgs for her role in Thalaivi, while later revealing that she had to undergo extreme body transformation for her character in Dhaakad as she had to shed the weight she had earlier gained. Although not much is known about Dhaakad at this point, it has been revealed that Kangana will be playing a character named Agent Agni, with the film to be directed by Razneesh Ghai centred around issues like child trafficking and crimes against women and also starring Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta.
