Siddharth's last direct Telugu film was Jabardasth which released in 2013. The film was directed by Nandini Reddy and featured Samantha and Nithya Menen as the female leads. After 8 long years, the talented actor will be making his comeback in Telugu cinema with Maha Samudram which is directed by Ajay Bhupathi of RX 100 fame. Maha Samudram is a multistarrer that features Sharwanand and Siddharth in the lead roles, alongside Aditi Rao Hydari and Anu Emmanuel as the other leads. Jagapathi Babu and Rao Ramesh would be seen playing supporting roles. Produced by Anil Sunkara under the banner of AK Entertainments, the film has music composed by Chaitan Bharadwaj.

Raj Thota and Praveen KL have handled the film's cinematography and editing respectively. Earlier today (July 9), the makers made a big announcement revealing that the shooting of the film is completely wrapped up. The team will now shift their focus towards the post-production works. The update was shared through a new poster which has been doing rounds on social media since the morning. Sharing the poster, director Ajay Bhupathi wrote, "Its a Wrap An Extreme Delightful Shoot Journey of #Mahasamudram Completed Our Tale of #ImmeasurableLove Floating soon in Theatres".

The film was earlier announced to release on August 19, but the plan might now change due to the Covid 19 situation and we will have to wait for further updates. Director Ajay Bhupathi made an impactful debut with the romantic action drama, RX 100 and he was praised for his strong writing. Maha Samudram is expected to be an important film in that aspect and let us see what the director has in store for the audience, this time. In Tamil, Siddharth has films like Shaitan Ka Bachcha and Takkar lined up for release.
