Popular Tamil actress and dubbing artist Raveena Ravi's father Ravindranathan Krishnan passed away on Tuesday due to ill health. He had been admitted to hospital for treatment after his health deteriorated, but unfortunately did not make a recovery. Condolences have been pouring in for the actress and her family over their big loss, with many taking to social media to convey their sympathies. Leading Tamil actor-producer Vishal too expressed his condolences to Raveena over the loss of her father. He tweeted, "Extremely sad to hear the passing of  @raveena116 ’s Father, Deepest Condolences, Pls Stay Strong, We are with You Always !!"

Raveena Ravi has garnered a following in Tamil cinema over the years for having contributed her voice to many leading heroines in blockbuster films before eventually also making a transition to landing starring roles in a few films. She followed her mother, Sreeja Ravi, into dubbing and began to lend her voice to female actresses starting with Saattai in 2012. Sreeja was already a popular voice actor and made a name for herself as a dubbing artiste having lent her voice to many heroines across Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali and even English languages.

Raveena made her acting debut as the heroine in the 2017 film, Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu, opposite Vidharth. Post her heroine role in Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu, she was once again seen as the female lead in last year's Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban in Tamil and will next be seen in the gangster film, Rocky, starring Taramani fame Vasanth Ravi and Bharathiraja under Arun Matheswaran's direction, which is being presented by Vignesh Shivan's Rowdy Pictures banner. Raveena also has a pivotal role in Vishal's upcoming action entertainer, Veerame Vaagai Soodum

The loss of her father will come as a huge personal loss to Raveena Ravi and we here at Galatta extend our heartfelt condolences to her and the bereaved family.
