Blockbuster Tamil director Shankar will be making his Telugu debut with the tentatively titled RC 15 starring Ram Charan in the lead role. Billed to be a pan-Indian venture, the upcoming film is being produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations and is the prestigious banner's 50th venture. With pre-production works already underway and plans to shoot in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, the makers of RC 15 officially announced on Saturday that leading Bollywood actress Kiara Advani has been cast in the film on the occasion of her birthday.

RC 15 will be Kiara Advani's next big Telugu venture after starring in Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu and Vinaya Vidheya Rama, which as well had Ram Charan in the lead role. Sri Venkateswara Creations dropped the announcement of Kiara on board RC 15 and tweeted, "Joining us on this super exciting journey is the talented and gorgeous @advani_kiara ! Welcome on board ❤️#HappyBirthdayKiaraAdvani #RC15 #SVC50." Kiara has established herself to be a major crowd-puller and has starred alongside top stars in Bollywood over the years, with several big films lined up ahead.

Expectations for RC 15 are massive as the film will also feature music by chart-buster composer S. Thaman. Fans will know that Thaman had previously appeared in an important starring role as one of the lead characters in Shankar's 2003 blockbuster, Boys. RC 15 also includes Jani master as the main choreographer, who incidentally is working on 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Beast, and is known predominantly for assisting Prabhu Deva for the dance sequences in the 'Rowdy Baby' song in Maari 2 starring Dhanush and Sai Pallavi. Ram Charan and Shankar’s film also has Sai Madhav Burra penning the dialogues, who is known notably for his work in Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Khaidi No 150, Mahanati, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Raju Gari Gadhi 3 and Krack among others.
