Popular English singer Perrie Edwards, known best among fans for being a member of the hit British girl group Little Mix, welcomed her first child with football superstar Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on Saturday. The singer made the announcement on social media on Sunday by posting two black and white photos of her baby's little hand and foot. Without revealing the name and gender of the child, Perrie Edwards captioned the pictures, "Welcome to the world baby 21/08/21," with her Liverpool soccer player boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also posting the same photos on his Instagram and writing, "Welcome to the world little one 21/08/21." 

Wishes have been pouring in from Perrie Edwards' friends and colleagues among whom were her Little Mix co-stars Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who wrote, "I am so proud of you and I love you so much. What an angel!", while Jade Thirlwall commented, "Proud of you always. Ly." Similarly, singer Stacey Solomon posted her wishes saying, "Omg! congratulations darling love you lots and lot," while actress Vicky Pattison wrote, "Congratulations beautiful girl." Perrie Edwards shot to the limelight after emerging as the winner of the British reality television music competition, The X Factor, in 2011. She has since gone on to feature in several documentaries based on her association with Little Mix among which are Glory Days: The Documentary, LM5: The Tour Film, including How To Be Anne-Marie and Leigh-Anne: Race, Pop and Power. Perrie Edwards announced her pregnancy with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in May and has shared several pictures of herself with the footballer.
