Keerthy Suresh's Miss India release date postponed to April 17

South Indian superstar Keerthy Suresh stunned fans with her performance in the 2018 Savitri biopic, Mahanati in Telugu, which was also dubbed in Tamil under the title, Nadigaiyar Thilagam, fetching her first ever National Award for Best Actress. Post the accolades for Mahanati, the popular actress was flooded with offers from Telugu cinema after which she went on to sign on the dotted line for a number of projects namely Miss India, Range De and Good Luck Sakhi, while also landing major roles in Mohanlal's ambitious epic historical period film, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, in Malayalam, 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Thalaivar 168 and Karthik Subbaraj's production venture titled Penguin in Tamil. 

Among the films, Keerthy Suresh's first release of 2020, Miss India, was initially announced a while back to have its USA Premiere on March 5. Directed by Narendra Nath under the East Coast Productions banner, it has now been officially announced by producer Mahesh S Koneru that Miss India featuring music by S. Thaman will be hitting screens in India on April 17. As of now, it remains to be seen when the overseas distributors will be planning to bring Miss India out in international theatres considering its release date in India has been announced now.

The buzz for Keerthy Suresh's Miss India is quite high especially after a title reveal teaser and the first single track titled 'Kotthaga Kotthaga' released received a positive response from fans. Miss India includes a talented supporting cast featuring names like Jagapathi Babu, Naveen Chandra, Rajendra Prasad, Naresh, Bhanushree Mehra, Sumanth S, Poojitha Ponnada, Kamal Kamaraju and Nadhiya with cinematography by Dani Sanchez-Lopez and Vamsi P, editing by Tammiraju and art direction by Sahi Suresh.
