Keerthi Pandian was last seen in Anbirkiniyal which fetched fairly positive reviews from the general audience. Anbirkiniyal was the Tamil remake of the Malayalam film, Helen, and it was directed by Gokul of Kashmora and Idharkkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara fame. Keerthi's performance in the film was widely appreciated. The young and talented actress' next outing in Tamil cinema will be Kannagi, directed by debutant Yashwanth, a former associate of director Mohan Raja. The first look poster of the film was officially unveiled yesterday (August 15) and it has garnered wide attention on social media. Keerthi Pandian was highly elated about the release of the first look of Kannagi.

Sharing the first look, Keerthi wrote, "Given a huge piece of me to this film #KANNAGI". The first look poster of Kannagi instantly grabs our attention as it looks highly intriguing and unique. 96 fame Karthik Netha has penned the lyrics for the songs in the album. Kannagi is currently in the final stages of shooting. The film is produced by E5 Entertainment in association with Skymoon Entertainment. Apart from Keerthi Pandian, the film also stars Ammu Abhirami, Vidya Pradeep, Shaalin Zoya, Kanaa Kaanum Kaalangal fame Vetri in supporting roles.
