Leading Tamil actors, directors and producers have been lending their helping hands to daily wage workers (who are part of FEFSI union) through food and financial donations. On that note, actress Kangana Ranaut has now made a donation of Rs 5 Lakhs towards FEFSI Union members. Also, Kangana has made an additional donation of Rs 5 Lakhs towards the daily wage workers who are part of her upcoming film, Thalaivi, directed by Vijay. Summing up together, Kangana’s total donation stands at 10 lakhs and her noble gesture is appreciable.

Kangana will be returning to Tamil cinema after a gap of 12 years with Thalaivi, which happens to be the biopic of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, J Jayalalitha. Arvind Swami will be seen playing the character of M.G.Ramachandran (MGR), while Madhoo and Poorna will be seen as Janaki Ramachandran and Sasikala respectively.

The film’s screenplay penned by the legendary writer, Vijayendra Prasad. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on June 26, but considering the current pandemic situation, there are high chances that the film could be postponed to a different date.
