Popular actor Vijay Deverakonda's brother Anand Deverakonda made his big-screen debut with the film titled Dorasaani. Along with Anand Deverakonda, Shivathmika Rajasekhar also made her debut as the lady lead in the movie. Dorasaani is also the directional debut for KVR Mahendra. The movie is jointly produced by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Yash Rangineni on Madhura Entertainment and BigBen Cinemas and is co-produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni. Music for the film is composed by Prashanth R Vihari. Dorasaani is set in the 1980's timeline and the film is an emotional love story that is based on true events. Dorasaani was a reasonable outing for the team, as the movie opened to decent reviews.
