Over the past few months, Jackie Chan has spoken on several occasions about the Coronavirus that has taken lives world over. It was not long back when the veteran actor announced he would pay 1 million Yuan (S$197,000) to anyone who would find a cure to the Coronavirus. The Hong Kong Police too had confirmed earlier this week that 59 officers in their department were quarantined after they had attended an event recently. Soon after, rumors started circulating that one among the people who had participated in the function was Jackie Chan after a 48-year-old individual had tested positive, which led to many fans across the world getting worried.

Coming to know about the rumors, Jackie Chan took to his Instagram page to issue a clarification stating he is safe, healthy and not placed under quarantine while also informing everyone to be out of harm's way. In his Instagram post, the veteran action superstar stated, "Thanks for everybody's concern! I'm safe and sound, and very healthy. Please don't worry, I'm not in quarantine.
