Actor Jiiva’s Gypsy will be hitting screens on March 6 after a long delay and the film is one awaited by many film buffs who have been lauding director Raju Murugan ever since the film's teaser and trailer shed light on various current affairs and political developments in the nation. Director Raju Murugan is returning with Gypsy after his critically-acclaimed political satire film, Joker, released in 2016, which went on to win two National Awards.

Produced under the Olympia Movies banner, Gypsy has been given an 'A' certificate by the Censor Board and will be Jiiva's second release after Seeru, which didn't perform as well as the actor would have anticipated last month. Featuring music by Santhosh Narayanan, the makers of Gypsy have now released the 'Kaathellam Poo Manakka' video song, which has vocals by Pradeep Kumar with lyrics penned by Yugabharathi.

Promotions for Gypsy have once again picked up with a new special teaser released last week, which has raised quite a lot of curiosity for the film among fans. Gypsy has Jiiva paired opposite actress Natasha Singh, who is making her Tamil cinema debut, alongside a supporting cast featuring names like Malayalam actor Sunny Wayne, Lal Jose, Susheela Raman, Vikranth Singh and Karuna Prasad.
