Cinematographer G.K.Vishnu made a very impressive debut with Thalapathy Vijay’s Mersal, directed by Atlee and his visuals were one of the major positives for the film. Following the success of Mersal, he happened to shoot Vijay - Atlee combo’s next film, Bigil, as well. His work in Bigil was raved by the critics and general audience and people were all praise for his framing and colours. Recently, Vishnu asked his followers to shoot out some questions so that he can answer them. Interestingly, people asked him about the technical details behind the filming of the football stadium scenes in Bigil.

One of the followers asked Vishnu about the filters and lenses used in Bigil to shoot the football sequences. Vishnu replied, “I use a lot of lens filters in crazy combinations. Depends on the mood of the scene. Sometime, it's my mood. We used a lot of LED lights which are mostly used in industries as a flood light. A LOT.” Similarly, another follower asked him if they had done storyboard for the film and Vishnu said, “We did. It helped us for a lot of sequences. But we didn't force ourselves to stick to that. It helped us to kickstart with something.

Well, it is actually good to see people noticing the technical aspects of a film and question about it. As a cinematographer, Vishnu must be a happy man seeing all these questions. Professionally, Vishnu is currently working on the Telugu film, Krack, that stars Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead roles.
