Gautham Karthik and Radhakrishnan Parthiban have joined hands for a film under hit Tamil filmmaker S. Ezhil's direction, which was announced in November 2020. Touted to be a murder mystery thriller, the upcoming film is said to be based on a crime novel written by acclaimed Tamil fiction writer Rajesh Kumar, with a majority of filming already reported to be completed. Produced by D. Vijay Kumaran under the Kallal Global Entertainment banner, the upcoming film's title has now been revealed to be as Yutha Satham, with 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi on Sunday doing the honors of releasing the first look poster featuring both Gautham Karthik and Parthiban.

The Yutha Satham first look features Gautham Karthik and Parthiban, with the tagline "The war begins...", thus teasing the conflict between the two. Ever since it was revealed that the story would be based on one of writer Rajesh Kumar's novels, the interest for the project shot up, with producer Vijay Kumaran during the launch of the film back in 2020 expressing his excitement. At the time, he said, "Director Ezhil for the first time in his career is doing a thriller and as a producer, I have immense faith and belief that this film will be a huge success. Gautham Karthik and Parthiban’s performances will add so much more value to the film. I am eager to watch the final copy of the film already." Check out the Yutha Satham first look below:

The talks surrounding Yutha Satham were already quite positive considering it has Parthiban in a pivotal role and his chemistry alongside youth sensation Gautham Karthik will no doubt be a major USP for the film. Furthermore, director S Ezhil, who is primarily known for the 'Thalapathy' Vijay-blockbuster Thulladha Manamum Thullum, had ventured to doing masala comedy entertainers like Manam Kothi Paravai, Velainnu Vandhutta Vellaikaran to name a notable few and his decision to do a murder mystery thriller will is another big reason to watch Yutha Satham. This new film will feature debutante Sai Priya as the female lead, while Robo Shankar has been cast in a supporting role, with music by D. Imman, cinematography by RB Gurudev, editing by Gopi Krishna, art direction by NR Sugumaran and C Murugesh Babu penning the dialogues.
