A few days before, it was officially announced that Gautham Karthik would be acting in a rural family entertainer under the direction of Nanda Periyasamy, who is known for directing movies like Oru Kallooriyin Kathai and Vanna Jigina. Titled as Anandham Vilayadum Veedu, the first look poster of the film was officially unveiled during the announcement and it showed us a glimpse of all the characters in the film. The poster had a colourful and vibrant mood and it suggested that Anandham Vilayadum Veedu will be an entertaining family drama with a good mix of action, sentiment, and romance. The film's shooting commenced yesterday (March 15) with a special pooja and the entire cast and crew took part in the launch event.

The pooja ritual was performed at Ponmalai Thirupathi Temple in Krishnagiri. Anandham Vilayadum Veedu features an ensemble star cast including 'Chithappu' Saravanan, Daniel Balaji, Vignesh, Singam Puli, Kumki Jommalloori, Lyricist Snehan, Namo Narayanan, Soundarajan, Mounicka, Maina, Paruthiveeran fame Sujatha, Priyanka, Nakkalite Dhanam, Venba, and others. Ace actor Rajsekhar's daughter, Shivathmika Rajasekhar will be making her Tamil debut with this film and she will play Gautham Karthik's love interest. The filming kick-started yesterday with a beautiful song featuring Gautham Karthik and Shivathmika Rajashekar and the song was choreographed by Dinesh.

The film is produced by P Ranganathan under the banner of Sri Vaari Films. The film will have music composed by Siddhu Kumar of Sivappu Manjal Pachai fame while the cinematography will be handled by Borra Bharani. Apart from acting, Snehan will also be writing the lyrics for the songs in the album.

Talking about the film, producer Ranganathan says, “I am delighted with the positive vibes prevailing everywhere on the sets of Anandham Vilayadum Veedu. Being a part of the industry for years, I have witnessed that the success rate of family entertainers has always been a step ahead of other genres. As I have mentioned earlier, it was very much evident with movies like Viswasam, Kadaikutty Singam, and many more movies, which had audiences stepping out and publicizing the films, thereby bringing their friends and families to theatres. Sri Vaari Film's intention was to bring family crowds to theatres, thereby gifting an enjoyable experience to them. Thanks to Nanda Periyasamy: he came up with a tailor-made story that encapsulates family sentiments, humour, action, emotions, romance, and engaging drama.”
