Popular Kannada director Suryoday Perampalli's son passed away, after meeting with a tragic road accident in Bengaluru. According to reports, Suryoday Perampalli's son, Mayur, met with an accident on Friday night (July 2) and his death has sent shock waves in the Kannada film industry. On Friday night, Mayur was driving his motorbike and during his journey, the motorbike (KTM Duke) collided with a water tanker lorry after which Mayur lost control and slipped out of the bike. Byadarahalli Police officials suspect that overspeeding could have been the possible reason for the accident.

"He was riding a 300-cc motorbike, due to over-speeding he collided with a water tanker from behind. Due to the impact, he succumbed on the way to the hospital", the Police informed. Mayur was just 20 years old. Notable film personalities and fans have expressed their heartfelt condolences to director Suryoday Perampalli and his family. For the unversed, Suryoday Perampalli is known for directing the 2019 Tulu film, Deyi Baidethi - Gejjegiri Nandanodu.

The film won 3 Karnataka State Film Awards - Best Regional Language Film, Best Director, and Best Singer. Deyi Baidethi featured Soujanya Hegde and Kaajal Kunder in the lead roles, while Seetha Kote, Amit Rao, Chetan Rai Mani, Manju Bhashini, Kirloskar Satya played supporting roles. Apart from directing, Suryoday Perampalli also produced the film which had music composed by Manikanth Kadri and B Bhaskar Rao. The film was quite a success, receiving a positive response from the fans and film buffs.

Sadly, in the last one month, this is the third accident news we are hearing from the Kannada film industry. On June 12, National award-winning actor Sanchari Vijay met with an accident while riding on his friend's bike. After 3 days of treatment, Sanchari Vijay was declared dead. On July 1, actor and BJP Leader, Jaggesh's son Yathiraj met with an accident when his car rammed into a divider. Fortunately, Yathiraj escaped with minor injuries.
