Lingusamy is back in action - teams up with this sensational young hero for his next!
Popular Tamil director N Lingusamy will be teaming up with popular Telugu actor Ram Pothineni for a new action thriller which is planned to be made as a Telugu - Tamil bilingual. The official announcement regarding this new project was made this morning (February 18) and the fresh combination has now excited the fans. Lingusamy's last directorial venture was the Vishal starrer Sandakozhi 2 which released in 2018 and it has been more than 2.5 years since we saw him in action. Let us hope that this new film turns out to be a big success. This new film is tentatively called '#RaPo 19'. The film will be produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under the banner of Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Ram Pothineni took to his Twitter page to share his excitement about collaborating with Lingusamy for his new film.
Sharing the announcement poster, he tweeted, "I’ve waited a long time for this! #RAPO19 - a Telugu-Tamil Bi-lingual with one of my fav @dirlingusamy sir. Looking forward to working with the passionate Srinivasaa Chitturi garu. @SS_Screens". Ram Pothineni was recently seen playing the lead in RED, the Telugu remake of Arun Vijay's Thadam, directed by Magizh Thirumeni. The film released in theatres across the globe during the Sankranthi festival and it emerged as a box office success.
His previous film before RED was iSmart Shankar (directed by Puri Jagannadh) and it was also a big hit at the box office. The young and talented actor will be looking forward to maintaining the momentum and success streak with his new film with director Lingusamy. The announcement regarding this project has already created a huge buzz on social media and #RaPo 19 has already become a trending topic, nationwide. Details regarding the rest of the cast and crew and commencement of shoot are yet to be known and we will update you about it in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to this space for more updates.
Lingusamy was initially speculated to team up with actor / director Raghava Lawrence for the Tamil remake of Ram Charan's Rangasthalam, but it looks like that project is going to take a few more years to materialize.
