Director Hari, who is known for his family and action potboilers, last made Saamy Square, which released in 2018. He has since not had a release and the latest news is that, he would again be coming together with his favourite hero Suriya, for another movie. Meanwhile, he has faced a huge loss in life. Hari's mother Mrs. Kani Ammal, has breathed her last. She passed away after suffering from a cardiac arrest, yesterday. Thirumathi Kani Ammal was said to be 81 and her mortal remains have been shifted to her native town of Kachchanavilai, in Thoothukudi District. The last rites are being held here, today.

Reports state that, on hearing this news, actor Suriya immediately rushed to director Hari's house to pass on his condolences in person. It is indeed a sad time for director Hari's family and we express our heartfelt condolences to him and the bereaved family. Meanwhile, on the work front, Hari is most likely to collaborate with Suriya next, for a new movie but this is not expected to be a sequel in the Singam franchise.
