Dhanush and his fans are set to have an eventful 2021 as the National Award-winning actor has a number of films gearing up for release, including a few in various stages of development. Among the long list of films, Dhanush's highly-anticipated Karnan directed by Pariyerum Perumal fame Mari Selvaraj is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 9, with reputed producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations leaving no stone unturned in promoting the upcoming action drama. Featuring music by Santhosh Narayanan, there have already been two songs from Karnan that have received a rousing response - 'Kanda Vara Sollunga' and 'Pandarathi Puranam', with the makers on Thursday releasing the third single titled 'Thattaan Thattaan' featuring vocals by Dhanush and Meenakshi Ilayaraja to the lyrics penned by Yugabharathi. 

The songs released in Karnan so far have bolstered the buzz surrounding the film, with composer Santhosh Narayanan once again delivering memorable numbers. His 'Thattaan Thattaan' is a breezy romantic melody as well and sounds promising right from the first listen, which we can be rest assured will turn out to be a hit among the masses and the classes in the days ahead as we near Karnan's release. Dhanush too has been spreading positive words about the film, including dropping an update a few days back regarding the Karnan teaser, which went on to be acknowledged by director Mari Selvaraj. 

There is massive hype surrounding Karnan as fans expect Dhanush to deliver yet another power-packed memorable performance on the lines of his Asuran in 2019. Mari Selvaraj too will be looking to hit it out of the park once again with his second directorial after his debut, Pariyerum Perumal, took Tamil Nadu by storm in 2018. Karnan also includes Malayalam actress and Kerala State Film Award winner Rajisha Vijayan playing the female lead, with veteran actors Lal and Azhagam Perumal, followed by Yogi Babu, Natty (a) Natarajan Subramanian, including 96 and Master fame Gouri G. Kishan and Lakshmi short film actress Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli cast in pivotal roles. The film also has a talented technical team that features names like Theni Eshwar for cinematography, editing by RK Selva and art direction by Ramalingam, who is known for his work in 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Kabali.
