The Corona Virus outbreak is taking a toll on the daily livelihood of people and it is starting to get intense all around the world. As a precautionary safety measure, most of the states throughout India, including Tamil Nadu, have ordered schools, colleges, malls, multiplexes and theatres, to be closed until the 31st of March, in order to bring an awareness among the people. Similarly, FEFSI Union announced that all film related works (shooting, post-production, promotional events) will be stopped until March 26th.

On that note, Y Not Studios have officially announced that the company will stop all the production works of their upcoming films. The official press statement from Y Not Studios read, “Due to the global pandemic caused by COVID 19 virus, we at Y Not Studios have suspended all administrative, post-production and promotional works for all our films, until the situation improves. Wishing everyone good health.” Well, going by that, it looks like the post-production works of Dhanush’s Jagame Thandhiram have also been stopped.

The fans are quite disappointed on that note, but when it is being done for a good cause, it needs to be welcomed. On that note, we will have to wait for a few more days to know if the film’s release will be pushed due to this. Apart from Jagame Thandhiram, Y Not Studios is also producing Yogi Babu’s Mandela, directed by debutant Madonne Ashwin and Samuthirakani’s Aelay, directed by Sillu Karuppatti fame Halitha Shameem.
