The combination of director Selvaraghavan and actor Dhanush has been celebrated ever since the brothers' first venture together, the blockbuster 2003 romantic psychological thriller, Kaadhal Kondein. Prior to Kaadhal Kondein, Selvaraghavan had served as the screenwriter on Dhanush's debut film, Thulluvadho Ilamai, after which the duo came back together twice again for the cult classic, Pudhupettai, in 2006 and the smash hit 2011 film, Mayakkam Enna.
It came as a sweet surprise earlier this week when Selvaraghavan while participating in an event dropped the bombshell announcement that he would be reuniting with Dhanush after nearly a decade for their next film, which he went on to reveal would be Pudupettai 2. The Pudhupettai sequel announcement has left everyone everywhere excited with fans now looking forward to one of Tamil cinema's most successful combinations hitting it out of the park once again.
In the meantime, the director-actor duo's second elder sister, Karthika Devi, a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist by profession, has taken to her Instagram page to share pictures of Dhanush and Selvaraghavan taking part in her son's ear piercing and hair tonsuring ceremony while also praising them for being there for her at all times.
Taking to her Instagram page, Selvaraghavan and Dhanush's sister, Karthika Devi stated, "My children are always lucky when it comes to his mamas love.. waited for this for past 2.3 years and my sons hair was technically longer than mine.. but all for good.. had a divya dharshan with whole family at tirumala and nothing can beat the vibrations and tears lord venkateshwara gives.. what a day.. and my brothers never fail to be there for their sisters .. once again brotherly duties perfectly done.. lucky kshatriyan..om namo narayana...".
