The baby boy was incidentally the first and only patient to test positive for the coronavirus in the Jamnagar district while also being the youngest to be diagnosed with the disease in the state. Authorities have stated that the child's parents, migrant labourers from Uttar Pradesh, are not showing any symptoms associated with the disease, but have been kept under quarantine. The couple were living in a nearby village named Dared, which is currently under lockdown to avoid the spread of the virus, with authorities now working to trace the source of the infection.
