‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s latest film, Bigil, directed by Atlee under the AGS Entertainment and featuring smash hit music by Oscar winning composer, A. R. Rahman has taken a spectacular opening across the world. An action sports entertainer, fans and critics have been pouring in their reviews after watching Bigil with many lauding various factors in the film including the superstar’s power-packed performance. That said, actress Vanitha Vijayakumar, who has become a household name after appearing as one of the contestants in the recently-concluded Bigg Boss 3, has now released an emotional statement on Twitter saying Vijay’s first ever Diwali release was alongside her 24 years back in the film, Chandralekha, in 1995. She added that she has wonderful memories of their collaboration and feels privileged to be his heroine while also extending her wishes for Bigil. Check out her tweet below:

Vanitha, who was evicted twice, went on to become one of the most controversial names in the Bigg Boss 3 house for her views and the manner in which she had expressed them. Bigil, made at a stupendous budget of Rs. 180 crores, has Vijay playing dual roles, as father (Rayappan), a rugged and serious character while the latter, Michael aka. Bigil is around whom the story predominantly moves around. The younger Vijay, who transitions from being a football player to a coach of a women’s football team, is playing his role with swag and confidence, for which his hardcore fans have given a double thumbs.
