Director Atlee’s last film, Bigil, turned out to be a blockbuster hit venture at the box office and it also marked the director’s hat-trick success with Thalapathy Vijay after Theri and Mersal. The super hit director is right now busy with the pre-production works of his next with Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and the expectations on that film is really high. Atlee is said to be working on the screenplay of this film right now. Recently, a section of media reported that director Atlee is in talks with Sun Pictures for a new film. It was also believed by the fans that this could possibly be Thalapathy 65 with Vijay.

Since Vijay and Atlee have a very good success ratio, the rumour was widely speculated on social media. However, when we checked with the sources close to the director’s team, the news was vehemently denied. The source added, “Atlee is for sure doing Shah Rukh Khan’s film and that is 100% happening. That will be his immediate next project. The news about Sun Pictures is completely not true.”
