Due to the current outbreak of Corona virus, the entire nation is on a lockdown and people have been requested to stay indoors to prevent the spread of the virus. Having said that, the entire film industry is also on a shutdown and this inturn affected the livelihood of workers who earn their wages (beta and salary) through daily film shootings. Realizing this tough situation, many leading actors, directors and producers came forward to help them with their contributions through the FEFSI Union.

Actors Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Sivakumar, Suriya, Karthi, Sivakarthikeyan, Vijay Sethupathi, Dhanush, Harish Kalyan, Prakash Raj, Radharavi, Manobala, directors Shankar, Hari, Karthik Subbaraj, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and producers Kalaippuli S Thanu, Lakshman Kumar and Lalit Kumar were some of the notable names who made generous donations. On that note, actress Aishwarya Rajesh has now announced a donation of Rs 1 lakh for the welfare of the FEFSI workers. Notably, Aishwarya is the first Tamil actress who has come forward with a donation and we can expect more actresses to follow suit.

On the work front, Aishwarya is part of various projects and the lineup looks quite promising. She has Ka Pae Ranasingam (co-starring Vijay Sethupathi), and an untitled film produced by Karthik Subbaraj in Tamil, while in Telugu, she will be seen as one of the female leads in Nani’s next - Tuck Jagadish. Aishwarya is also a part of Gautham Vasudev Menon’s long delayed, Dhruva Natchathiram starring Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role.
