The sudden death of veteran director, writer and actor Visu shocked Kollywood. He was a trendsetter back in the 80s. His films were rooted and had a big appeal among the family audience during his prime days. He has given us some memorable films as a director, writer as well as actor. Most of his films are emotional and has strong family values. He has worked with some of the giants in the industry. Having worked as K Balachander’s assistant, Visu had the opportunity to write for several films of Balachander. Though he had distanced himself from films for the past few years due to his deteriorating health, the knowledge that he possessed is irreplaceable.  
 
Rajinikanth who happens to be a good friend of Visu has now taken to his Twitter to share his condolences. Superstar says that he is deeply affected by the sudden demise of Visu and also offered his condolences to his family, friends and fans. Though Visu did not get a chance to direct Rajinikanth, he had written the screenplay for a few Superstar films like Thillu Mullu, Netrikkann, Nallavanuku Nallavan, and Mr Bharath. He has also shared the screen space as an actor with Rajinikanth in several films. Rajinikanth’s tweet reads as follows:
