Actor Nadodigal Gopal passes away
Actor Gopal who is known as a character artist in Tamil film industry passed away due to heart attack. He hails from a village named Kuppa Goundan Palayam which is located in Erode district. His last rituals will happen today in his native. Gopal is fondly called as Nadodigal Gopal since he made his debut through Samuthirakani’s Nadodigal which released in the year 2009. He later went on to act in films like Rajini Murugan, Kidaari, Guru Uchaththula Irukkaru, Seema Raja, Kolanji and Namma Veettu Pillai. His last film was Nadodigal 2 which released last Saturday.
Even though, Nadodigal Gopal hasn’t acted in many movies in his 10-year long career, the roles that he took up were always interesting and different. He played in drunkard in Sivakarthikeyan’s Namma Veetu Pillai which got good reception. Even in his debut film Nadodigal where he played heroine’s father, his role was very consistent and different, a character who wanted his son in law to be a government officer. He is someone who can be extremely funny at the same time emote so well during sentimental scenes. This sure is a big loss of Tamil cinema. Galatta expresses its deepest condolences to the departed soul’s family.
