Malayalam actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen next in Telugu superstar Prabhas' film, Salaar, releasing in theatres worldwide on December 22. The upcoming film directed by Kannada filmmaker Prashanth Neel of KGF fame is coming out alongside 'Bollywood Baadshah' Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and has fans everywhere excited. Considering both Salaar and Dunki will bring the curtains down to 2023 on a big note, Prithviraj, who plays a key role alongside Prabhas, has now addressed the big box-office meeting with Shah Rukh Khan's film in a special interview with Galatta India's Nayandeep Rakshit, while speaking about how Malayali audiences are also looking forward to iconic Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's Neru releasing ahead of the holiday season.

Speaking about Prabhas' Salaar releasing alongside Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki, Prithviraj said, "Where I'm from, in Kerala, there's a third film, which is a Mohanlal-Jeethu Joseph film. And, it's an iconic actor-director combo reuniting after Drishyam 2. So, for us, it's three big films hitting the theatres on the same day for the holiday season. Oh my God, I mean, this for a cinephile, is a dream come true." He continued, "For me personally, before being an actor, before being a director, before being a producer, distributor, or anything else, I am first a film lover. And, this has genuinely got to be one of the greatest holiday seasons in recent memory. I'm watching all three. I'm for sure watching all three. I'm a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan sir. I absolutely adore the brand of cinema Rajkumar Hirani sir makes. Prashanth Neel, I think, is an iconic filmmaker. Prabhas is one of the biggest stars in the country. And, then from where I'm from, it doesn't get bigger than Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph."
