The nominations for the 95th Academy Awards were announced by actors Allison Williams and Riz Ahmed on Tuesday, January 24. Among the Indian films that are in contention for the coveted gold, three ventures have secured nominations in various categories namely RRR, All That Breathes, and The Elephant Whisperers. While 'Naatu Naatu' in RRR has been nominated for the Best Original Song, the documentary films All That Breathes and The Elephant Whisperers have been given the nod in the Best Documentary Feature Film and the Best Documentary Short Film categories.

Among the films leading the list at Oscars 2023 is Everything Everywhere All At Once with 11 nominations, followed by The Banshees of Inisherin and All Quiet on the Western Front securing nine nods each. Elvis has received eight nominations, while Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans has been announced for seven nominations. Todd Field’s Tar and Joseph Kosinski’s Top Gun: Maverick each have six nominations. The 95th Academy Awards will be hosted by popular American talk show host Jimmy Kimmel at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 12, 2023.
