Ajith Kumar's Thunivu is out in cinemas and continues to be the talk of the town after releasing before the Pongal festivities on January 11. The mass heist action entertainer directed by H. Vinoth also stars National Award-winning Malayalam actor Manju Warrier as the female lead and is her second big Tamil film after her power-packed performance in Vetri Maaran's Asuran in 2019. Produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects and Zee Studios banners and with Raahul's Romeo Pictures executive producing, a making video from the sets of Thunivu featuring Ajith, H. Vinoth, cinematographer Nirav Shah and the rest of the crew has now been released officially.
Shared with the caption "FIRST BLOCKBUSTER OF 2023", the Thunivu-making video gives audiences a glimpse of the bank heist scene and the action sequences in the film, which have stunts choreographed by reputed fight master 'Supreme' Sundar. We also see Ajith in between the shots along with H. Vinoth and cinematographer Nirav Shah. The making video also shows us Ajith sharing his knowledge about guns as he is known to be a rifle specialist having won on the championship level. There are also a few big explosions with the Thunivu team blowing a few set pieces as part of the action sequences centered on the bank.
Thunivu is the third big film for Ajith with H. Vinoth and Boney Kapoor after their Nerkonda Paarvai (2019) and Valimai (2022) and was released in Tamil Nadu by Red Giant Movies, while the overseas distribution was handled by Lyca Productions. The film also features Ghibran's full-fledged music for the first time for an Ajith venture after he composed the background score in Valimai and is incidentally also his landmark 50th venture in his career.
