The whole of India is waiting with bated breath for any news update from the Central Government, regarding the next lockdown. India has been under a nation-wide lockdown from March 25th and are currently in the fourth phase, which will go on till May 31st (Sunday)! This lockdown, to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus, is being considered to have been effective by many while there are an equal number of people who feel that it had been imposed rather late and that the Government had already allowed the Virus to spread. However, with all of these sentiments on one side, we now hear that one of the most populated states in our country is all set to return to normalcy!

Just In: West Bengal to return to normalcy from June 1st!

A latest announcement from Mamata Bannerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, states that all places of worship in the state would be reopened for the public, from June 1st! Also, all Government and private offices will be allowed to function with 100% employees from June 8th! With no word yet from the Central Government about whether the lockdown would be extended into Phase 5, this is a massive step by a State Government. However, even for the 4th phase of the lockdown, the States were allowed discretion to follow their own norms, so it would seem like West Bengal is all set to return to normalcy, from June 1st.
