Taapsee Pannu has become a pan-India star with her impressive performance in the movies in all the languages and her upcoming film tiled Thappad has caught the attention of everyone with its plot. Thappad is directed by Anubhav Sushila Sinha and is produced by Bhushan Sudesh Kumar, Krishan Krishna Kumar, and Anubhav Sushila Sinha under the banner of Benaras Media Works and T-Series. The movie has Pavail Gulati as the other lead with names Ratna Pathak Shah, Tanvi Azmi, Dia Mirza, Ram Kapoor, Kumud Mishra, Manav Kaul, Gracy Goswami and Sandeep Yadav playing supporting roles. Thappad has songs by Anurag Saikia and background score by Mangesh Dhakde. The flick has cinematography by Soumik Mukherjee and editing by Yasha Ramchandani.

Thappad is a relationship story of Amrita played by Taapsee Pannu whose seemingly perfect life but things take an unexpected turn when Amrita's husband slaps her.
