One of the best ever batsmen to grace the Gentleman's Game of Cricket - Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar is considered by many to even be the 'God of Cricket'! The 'Little Master' may no longer play the game but the name evokes every bit the same response among his fans, as it used to earlier! Many times in the past, during his playing days, Sachin has stepped up and delivered whenever the nation needed him! Now, he has stepped up to help the nation, in a different way! The entire world is reeling from the effects of the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic and people have been losing their lives and livelihoods, because of the deadly Corona Virus! The Indian government has announced a nation-wide lockdown and it is in effect from March 25th and shall go on till the 17th of May.

Reports state that Sachin Tendulkar has reached out and helped 4000 needy people and children by providing them with financial assistance, by coordinating with Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs). Most of these people are daily-wage workers who are suffering from having no income. Sachin had earlier donated Rs. 25 Lakhs to the PM Cares relief fund and another Rs. 25 Lakhs to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra's Relief Fund! He had also taken care of the monthly ration needs of 5000 poor families by donating to the Apnalaya Trust, which distributed the required essentials. Sachin himself did not reveal about this gesture and it only came to light when the NGO he had donated to, thanked him and mentioned that his assistance would reach out to over 4000 needy people, including students who study in Corporation Schools! This is indeed a very great gesture by Sachin Tendulkar and he keeps proving time and again, why so many people love him and cherish him, always! Way to go Master!
