Tis the season of sequels in Tamil cinema and the upcoming Sandakozhi 2, which had its trailer released a while back is one of the most exciting films coming out this year.
Directed by Lingusamy under the Vishal Film Factory banner with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Sandakozhi 2 reunites the filmmaker with Vishal after a decade when they last worked in the blockbuster, Sandakozhi, in 2005.
Meanwhile, Vishal recently during the success meet of his Irumbu Thiraia™s Telugu version Abhimanyudu was queried about the release plan for Sandakozhi 2.
The Nadigar Sangam General Secretary then went on to reveal he and the Sandakozhi 2 team have plans to get the film out in theatres for Ayudha Pooja in October.
Sandakozhi 2 will see veteran actor Rajkiran reprising his role from the original film once again.
Current fan favorite actress Keerthy Suresh has been cast in the film as the female lead and has left fans impressed with her cute expressions in the trailer.
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has been steadily making her presence felt in the industry with multiple roles and Sandakozhi 2 promises to be yet another big catch for the actress.
