Comedy superstar Yogi Babu is currently one of the most sought-after stars in Tamil cinema as he is attached to several high-profile projects starring leading superstars. Yogi Babu has already had a few releases this year despite the pandemic playing spoilsport and a few of his ventures premiering on streaming OTT platforms. Seen in films like Trip, Karthi's Sulthan, Vanakkam Da Mappillai with GV Prakash this year, including garnering praise for his performances in Dhanush's Karnan and Mandela in which he played the lead role, Yogi Babu, who married Manju Bhargavi from Vellore in February 2020, was blessed with a baby boy in December last year, with the actor organising a naming ceremony for his son on Thursday on the occasion of his birthday. 

Director P. Virumaandi, known among fans for his Ka Pae Ranasingam starring Aishwarya Rajesh and Vijay Sethupathi, took to social media to share photos from Yogi Babu’s birthday and son’s naming ceremony, while also informing that the comedy star has named the child as B. M. Veshagan. Soon after Virumandi posted pictures from Yogi Babu's birthday celebrations at his house in the presence of close family members and friends, wishes began pouring in from fans, including many complimenting him for the choice of the name for his son. 

As for Yogi Babu's upcoming projects, the actor will be seen next in ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam's anthology film Navarasa in a main role in the Summer of '92 segment alongside Remya Nambeesan under Priyadarshan's direction. He also has in his power-packed line-up films like 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Beast, 'Thala' Ajith's Valimai, Sivakarthikeyan's Doctor and Ayalaan, director Sundar.
