Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi’s Laabam trailer has dropped in and one has to tell that the trailer looks impressive and promising. Vijay Sethupathi appears in different makeovers and his screen presence will make the important message reach a larger audience. The trailer has got some really hard hitting dialogues and Laabam seems to be a very important film in Makkal Selvan’s career. Shruti Haasan who plays the female lead seems to have got a good role in this film and it is going to be a refreshing changeover for her. Director S.P.Jhananathan conveys his strong ideologies through this trailer and the film is going to have a lot more.

Kalaiyarasan and Daniel Annie Pope are seen in supporting roles. Jagapathi Babu is the film's antagonist and he gets to play the role of a businessman. We have already seen him playing the same role a few times before, but let us hope that Laabam stands out from the other films.

The dialogues are the major attraction of this trailer and when someone like Jhananathan is at the helm, one can be sure that the film will have more such thought provoking lines. Laabam talks about the plight of the farmers and others who get adversely affected due to the commercialization of agriculture. It looks like the film will also talk about other topics like economy and communism.

Produced by Vijay Sethupathi Productions in association with CS Arumugakumar’s 7Cs Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Laabam has music scored by D Imman whose music in the trailer sounds good. The film’s cinematography has been handled by Ramji.

The makers are currently busy with the final leg of post production. Considering the current pandemic, the film’s release plans are yet to be known. However, the makers have revealed in the trailer that the film will be released after the pandemic.
